Community Capacity Building Support provided for Wild Earth CIC

Wild Earth CIC are a social enterprise based in Coventry, set up in 2011

They work with young people and communities, connecting people with nature to improve mental health and wellbeing. They also focus on providing marginalized communities access to nature.

Wild Earth CIC joined our United By 2022 Family, a network of local grassroots charities and organisations, in May 2023. Upon joining they attended more than a dozen of our online upskilling sessions and received support from us, in the areas they identified as needing help.

We worked together to provide support, and through our Inclusive Communities Fund community engagement, provided advice and guidance on how to write a successful application. Wild Earth joined a number of webinars and sessions and were subsequently successful in receiving a Small Grants Award for a nature-based intervention to improve the health and wellbeing of the young people and adults in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Wild Earth CIC also work with young people, who successfully applied for an Ideas Made Real grant with us. Ideas Made Real is a small grants fund where young people (aged 16-24) across the West Midlands can apply for up to £8,000 funding to carry out a social action project that will benefit their local community.

Being a new addition the UB22 Family we are so proud of Wild Earth and look forward to seeing the great work they continue to do!
