the west midlands MASCOT
PERRY THE BULL!

Say hello to Perry the Bull – the unforgettable mascot of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and now the official community champion of the West Midlands!

Named after Perry Barr, where the Games began, Perry is a patchwork bull with a heart as big as his horns – full of colour, character, and curiosity.

He’s proud of his roots and absolutely loves meeting new people across our region.

Introducing perry!

Since the Games, Perry’s swapped the podium for parks, playgrounds, schools, and festivals. Whether he’s breakdancing in a community centre, helping out at a local event, or high-hoofing it through the streets at a parade, one thing’s for sure – Perry brings the party!

He’s not just about fun and games, though. Perry’s also passionate about the values that made the Games so special:

  • Unity: Bringing people together from all walks of life
  • Pride: Celebrating everything that makes the West Midlands unique
  • Inspiration: Encouraging young people to dream big and be active

Every part of Perry’s colourful design was inspired by real children from across the West Midlands. From colourful hooves to his bright patches, he represents the strength, diversity, and creativity of our communities.

He’s a symbol of what we can achieve when we work together – and he wears it proudly!

Perry loves a selfie and is always up for a bit of (good-natured!) mischief. If you’ve got an event or celebration in the West Midlands, he just might drop by.
